Boy, on the first day of eighth grade honors science class, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
I mean, part of me was over-confident, thinking I knew 'enough' since I had always been okay before. But another part of me was uncertain—I mean, it's like I knew I was untested since I'd never really faced any big challenges before. I guess, it was both exciting and scary at the same time. I think God made us to want a challenge.—you know, to have the chance to overcome.—to be willing to face and fight the giants that come our way—and win!

ARE YOU equipped to answer evolution's bold claims?
I think people need to realize that evolution is a giant “Goliath” in our world today. This giant has stepped forward—making bold, scientific claims everywhere—in textbooks, encyclopedias, movies, kid's books, even cartoons. And, just like Goliath mocked the God of the Israelites, so evolution’s claims speak directly against faith in God and His Word.
So, as believers, how can we meet and defeat evolution and its bold claims? Well, just like David faced Goliath with his staff and sling, if we’re going to stand up to evolution’s challenge, we must equip ourselves with a firm faith in God and His Word. But—what 'stones' can we put into our 'sling of faith'? Scientific and Biblical evidence that confirm God’s Word and refute evolution are smooth stones for our sling. With these tools, we can answer evolution’s bold claims, and win.
